Lynn F. Bross, 75, of Higginsville, died Jan. 7th at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Lee’s Summit
He was born December 9, 1940 in Palmyra, MO to Paul and Hortense (Voepel) Bross.
Following graduation from high school he served 3 years in the Army, stationed in Germany. Upon returning from the service he took classes at Missouri University where he met an married Colleen Hagan on November 1, 1963
In 1965 they moved to Higginsville to manage the truck stop at the Higginsville junction. He served on the Lafayette C-1 school board for 9 years. He was also an insurance salesman and later dealt blackjack at the Ameristar Casino for 10 years. He enjoyed being retired.
Preceded by: his parents; a son, Edward; three brothers, Larry, Lee and Lester Bross
He is survived by:
Wife: Colleen of the home
Son: David Bross (Kristi) of Blue Springs
4 Grandchildren: Lauren and Nick Bross, Brandon and Brooke Shipman
Visitation will be Monday, January 11th from 5-7 pm at the
Kaiser ~Wiegers Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 12th at 10:30 am at Grace United Methodist Church, officiated by Reverend Mary Biesemeyer
He will be buried at the City Cemetery
