James “Jim” Loges, 58, of Higginsville, died June 21st at St. Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit.

He was born December 27, 1957 in Lexington to Floyd and Erna Frieda (Schmohe) Loges.

Jim was 1976 graduate of Santa Fe High School. He worked at Cash Bargain Lumber, in Kansas City, for 2 years. He then found a career with the Kansas City Chiefs in their construction department for 32 years, retiring as the Manager of Construction Repair. He continued working for four more years at John Knox Village East as the Director of Plant Operations, retiring again in 2014. 

Jim enjoyed wood working and working with kids. He was a 4H leader; served on the Higginsville Park Board, Immanuel Lutheran School Board; and coached youth baseball and basketball.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Son:           Kevin Loges and fiancée Jillian Cox        of Lee’s Summit
Daughter:    Denise Loges                                       of Higginsville 
Brothers:     John Loges                                          of Kansas City
                  Paul Loges                                           of Alma

Casket bearers are Bryce Kappelman, Jeff Kappelman, Bart Kappelman, Greg Rechterman, Steve Lovercamp, Bruce Graf 

Funeral Services will be Saturday, June 25th at Immanuel Lutheran Church at 10:00 am

Visitation will be Friday, June 24th at the church from 6:00-8:00 pm.

He will be buried at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Alma
