Homer E. Knehans, 88, of Higginsville, died May 16, 2016 at the Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg 


Homer was born June 16, 1927 in Higginsville, to Alfred and Emelie (Homuth) Knehans.
He married Winnie Dryer on February 19th, 1950.
Homer was a farmer and served on local boards, for many years, for MFA Oil and MFA Exchange. He was an Army veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #223
He is preceded in death by brothers, Maurice and Marvin Knehans

Joyce Swanke (Arnold) of Conifer, CO
Sister: Maureen Messinger of Kansas
3 Grandchildren: Sam Knehans of Montgomery, AL
Mari Knehans of St. Louis, MO
Gabriel Goetz of Colorado Springs, CO
Visitation will be Thursday, May 19th from 6-8 pm at the Salem United Church of Christ.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, May 20th at 10:00 am at the Salem United Church of Christ, officiated by Reverend Andy Mockridge
He will be buried at the Salem Cemetery
Casket Bearers are Eric Kirchhoff, Darrel Rinne, Mark Gross, Bob Bergsieker, Kenneth Buchanan, Paul Nolte
