John Ramey Zeikle, 83, of Higginsville, passed away Tuesday May 7th, 2019, at the Meyer Care Center in Higginsville.
He was born June 25th 1935, in Kansas City Missouri, to John N. and Helen (Ramey) Zeikle. He was a 1953 graduate of Higginsville High School. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He attended Kemper Military Academy for two years and graduated from the University of Missouri in 1957.
On October 13, 1956, John married Mona Kay Warren in Hernando, Mississippi. He was in the Army for 2 years and they were stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. In 1959 he returned to Higginsville to join his father's business, John N. Zeikle and Co. at 1923 Main Street. He was in the insurance, loan, and real estate business for over 50 years. John was involved in the Chamber of Commerce, Higginsville Rotary Club, Salvation Army, and the United Way. He was an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Higginsville.

Paul (Julie) of Zionsville, IN
Sister: Jean (Tom) Walker of Boonville
5 grandsons: Randy, Matthew, Trent, Trevor, Jacob
5 great-grandchildren: Ethan, Ashton, Sophia, Paxton and Carter
He was preceded in death by:
his parents; son, John Bradley Zeikle; sister, Betty Magruder Jemes.
Visitation will be Friday, May 10th from 6-7:30 at the Kaiser ~Wiegers Funeral Home
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 11th at 10:30 at the First Presbyterian Church, officiated by Rev. Joe Carle
Casket Bearers will be Randy, Matthew, Trent, Ethan, Ashton, Jacob and Trevor Zeikle
Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or United Way.
