Morgan “Wes” Grant Wesley, 85, of Alma, died October 1, 2020 at the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia.
He was born July 31, 1935 in Lombard, IL to Morris C. and Kathleen (Williams) Wesley. They moved to Kansas City during his senior year in High School. He graduated from Shawnee Mission.
He married Beverly Anderson on March 29, 1956. They settled in Alma in 1972. He also lived in Higginsville and Corder for a short time.
Wes worked at the Lake City ammunition plant for 29 years. Before that he was a surveyor on the Minuteman Missile program in several mid-western states. He was an avid golfer and member of the Emma County Club, with 4 holes-in-one to his credit. Unfortunately, Parkinson’s affected his golfing over time. But he loved being outdoors hunting and fishing; collecting buckeyes, berries or mushrooms. He enjoyed watching football and baseball and doing crossword puzzles.
He is preceded in death by: his parents; step-mother, Frances Wesley; a brother, Robert Wesley; and a grandson, Christopher Wesley.

Graveside Services will be held Sunday, October 4th at 2:00 pm at the Maplewood Cemetery at Alma.
Casket Bearers will be Shaun Moenkhoff, Logan Wesley, Taylor Wesley, Nathan Wesley, Michael Beumer, Ryan Beumer, Matthew Beumer.
