R. Allen Tempel, 81, of Heber City, Utah, passed away after a brief illness April 18, 2020.
He was born on the family farm, Higginsville, Missouri, May 12, 1938, to Chester and Dorothy Tempel.
Allen managed the family farm until moving to Utah in 1991. Sixteen years were spent surveying major highway reconstruction projects throughout Utah. Up until his illness, he worked in sales at South Fork Hardware, Park City, Utah.

Wife Kathy
Daughters: Elise Halling (Cliff) of Sandy, Utah
Dr. Amy Tempel of Hawthorne, California
Emily Tempel of Logan, Utah
along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren
Siblings: Ann Koch of Nixa, Missouri
Clyde Tempel of Rogers, Arkansas
Allen would want all he associated with to know how much each one individually enriched his time here on earth.
Interment and graveside services will be held at a later date in Higginsville, Missouri.
Memorial contributions in his honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; Hillsdale College, Hillsdale, Michigan; or Primary Children’s Hospital, Utah.
