Colleen R. Summers, 80, of Higginsville, died December 28, 2020 at her home. 
She was born December 7, 1940 in Spencer, IA to David and Gertrude (Milleman) Barthel. She grew up in nearby Royal, IA and graduated from Royal High School in 1959. She met Elson Summers while he was working in Nebraska. They were married on August 5, 1967 in Omaha, NE. They moved to Missouri around 1968.
Colleen worked for the Missouri Valley Human Resource Community Action in Marshall for 34 years. She was a volunteer at the Clothes Closet, worked at the Robertson Memorial Library, she was a crocheter for the Happy Hooker club, and was a dedicated garage saler.
She is preceded in death by a sister, Betty Jean Keenan.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, December 31st at 1:00 pm at the City Cemetery, officiated by Reverend Terry Cook.
Casket Bearers will be Ron Summers, Wes Summers, Ethan McLallen, Jerry Graham, Tyler Summers, Seth Summers.
Memorials are suggested to Robertson Memorial Library.
