Warner Henry Schelp, 84, of Higginsville, died Oct. 15th at the Meyer Care Center
He was born September 9, 1934 in Emma, MO to Edward and Lena (Lange) Schelp.
He married Delome Rinne on December 11, 1976 in Higginsville. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2006
Warner worked around Lafayette County throughout his life, including the Emma Creamery, the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home, McDonald’s, and the Higginsville Habilitation Center.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by brothers, Armond, Alfred, Vernon and Elmer; sisters, Melba Hughes, Arlene Neely, Marie Lynn, Esther Ott.
He is survived by:
Companion: Rita Vahrenberg of the home
Brothers: Edgar Schelp of Lee’s Summit
Harold Schelp (Zola) of Olathe
Sister-in-law: Martha Schelp of Irving, TX
Numerous nieces and nephews
Memorial Services will be held Friday, October 19th at 11:00 am at the Salem United Church of Christ in Higginsville, officiated by Pastor Dr. Tommy Faris.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, at the church.
His ashes will be buried at the Salem Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Higginsville Senior Center or the Salem Cemetery
