Louise Edna (Ainsworth) Salyer, 100, of Higginsville, died on May 22, 2018 at Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri.
She was the oldest of seven children, born on January 17, 1918, to Harry William and Edna Wilhelmina (Starkebaum) Ainsworth. She lived most of her life in the Higginsville area, graduating from Higginsville High School in 1936. She was in the accounting and tax profession for 50 years, before retiring from L & M Tax & Accounting in Higginsville.
Louise and William Thomas Wade were married on February 6, 1938. They had four children: Jack Edward, Philip Allen, Mary Annette and John Thomas.
Louise and Rowan H. Salyer were married on November 11, 1972.
Throughout her life, Louise was active in her church as a Sunday School teacher, singing in the choir and playing in the bell choir. She enjoyed being an active member of Salem's Endowment Committee from 1999 - 2018. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary of Higginsville.
Family and friends helped her celebrate her 100th birthday in January. It was a cold and snowy, but she enjoyed her special day.
She lived in her home for 100 years. She was a resident of Meyer Care Assisted Living for only three months.
Louise was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Rowan; two sisters, Elizabeth Ann Ainsworth and Dorothy Ann Salyer; four brothers John Harry, Robert Lee, Thomas Earl and James Carson Ainsworth; son, Jack E. Wade; daughter-in-law, Linda L. Wade; and granddaughter, Elizabeth Wade.
She is survived by:

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 29th, at the Salem United Church of Christ at 10:30 am, officiated by Pastor, Dr. Tommy Faris
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral
Casket Bearers are Bill Busch, Tim Frerking, Ian Wade, John Rocha, Larry White, David Starke
She will be buried in the Salem Cemetery
