B. Jean Replogle, 84, of Higginsville, died on May 9, 2020, at her home. 

She was born August 31, 1935 in Raytown, MO to Gustav and Mollie (Hadorn) Prigel. She graduated from the St. Luke’s School of Nursing in 1956. She married Dale Replogle on November 14, 1957 at the McDill Air Force Base in Tampa, FL. They moved to Higginsville in 1965.

Jean was a homemaker while the kids were little. As they got older she put her nursing degree to use. She had a nearly 15 year career as the Director of Nursing at Meyer Care Center. She then moved to Lafayette Regional Health Center, where she worked in several departments. She ended her career working for the Visiting Nurses Association as a home health nurse. 

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the quilting club and the United Methodist Women Circle #1. She also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She was a member of Chapter EK of PEO, and the Order of the Eastern Star, where she had served multiple times as Worthy Matron and as a long-time secretary.

Jean is preceded in death by a brother, Edwin Prigel and her parents.

1 Great Grandson:    Calvin Gene Sweeney 

Private graveside services will be held at the Fairview Cemetery in Martinsburg, PA.
