Kaye D. Owen, 73, of Higginsville, died peacefully at her home, on March 1, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born February 15, 1945 in Higginsville to Robert and Dorothea (Niemeier) Miller
She married Charles A. Owen on July 27, 1963. He preceded her in death on April 1, 1993.
Kaye worked for Harmon/GE as a machine operator for many years. She then went to work for ATK, and retired from there in 2010 as a quality control supervisor.
Over the years she was belonged to the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, the Higginsville Horse Club and the Confederate Home Chapter of the UDC.
In addition to her husband she is also preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by:
Son: Charles Owen (Shelly Alston) of Higginsville
Daughter: Bobbi Long (Tim) of Odessa
Sister: Barb Swigart of Higginsville
6 Grandchildren: Daniel Long, Bryon Long, Logan Alston,
Kaylee Goede, Alissa Goodin, Anderson Owen
1 Great Grandchild: Kayden Lloyd
And many adopted children and grandchildren to numerous to count, but all loved.
Their will be a gathering of friends Friday, March 9th at 6:00 pm at Las Carretas Mexican Restaurant.
