Wes Ouderkirk, 71, of Higginsville, died August 31, 2021 at his home.
He was born December 6, 1949 in Kansas City, KS to Howard James and Betty Ruth (Bell) Ouderkirk.
Wes
grew up in Eldon, MO. He served in the Navy from November of
1968-October of 1970. He moved back to mid-Missouri, living in Richmond
and Lexington, before settling in Higginsville. He married Donna Goss on
October 12, 1998 in Jacksonville, Beach, FL. She preceded him in death
on February 26, 2015.
Wes
had various vocations in his life. He worked for many years as an auto
mechanic for various companies. Then, as an officer for the Department
of Corrections, in Boonville for many years. He also worked for Home
Residential Services in Higginsville, which he enjoyed very much. He
loved tinkering and fixing things. Motorized items, like lawnmowers,
were his favorite. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, taking his
grandkids fishing and wood working.
In addition to his wife, he is preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Danny Ouderkirk.
He is survived by his:

Ouderkirk, Lisa Ouderkirk;
step-children: John Ramirez, Stephanie
Coen (Troy), Eric Gall (Jerrie), Regina Hernandez (Paul);
siblings:
Floyd “Jim” Ouderkirk, Darlene Ouderkirk, Glenda Hart;

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery
