Leon Opfer, 71, of Higginsville, died August 12th at his home. 
He was born February 19, 1948, in Warrensburg, to Walter and Alverna (Luebbert) Opfer.
Leon worked for Lefman Electric, Wilson Foods and Action Plastics.
He was a Navy veteran. He was a tinkerer and loved fixing things.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Graveside services will be held Monday, September 9th at 10:00 am at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, officiated by Dr. Greg Fine.
