Martha Elizabeth Munson, 87, of Higginsville, died on August 2, 2021 at her home.
She was born December 12, 1933, in Jamesport, MO to Lee and Blanche (Collier) Eads. She grew up in Davis County, and graduated from Gallatin High School in 1951. She married Wayne Munson on February 3, 1952 in Kansas City, MO and they started their new life there. They have lived in Higginsville since 1967, other than some years spent at their house at Pomm de Terre.
Martha worked as a lunch lady at the Higginsville High School and as a CNA at Meyer Care Center, but her greatest work was at home raising seven children. She loved having her family nearby, especially when there was a new baby in the family.
She enjoyed shopping, reading, sewing and quilting. She made clothes for her children and taught her grandchildren to sew. She took her quilts to shows and donated some of them to charity raffles. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the DAR.
She is preceded in death by a son, Martin; brothers, Grover, Robert and James Eads; a sister, Helen Troxel; and two grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, August 6th at noon at the First Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Greg Fine.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
Casket Bearers will be Jake Munson, Jeff Munson, Brandon Marth, Richard Munson, Jr., Ryan Munson, Jerry Munson
She will be buried at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the Shriners’ Children’s Hospital
