John “Jack” Miller, 91, of Higginsville, died August 23, 2020 at the Meyer Care Center
He was born March 17, 1929 in Shelbyville, MO to Thomas E. and Mildred (Hedrick) Miller.
He grew up on a farm near Oskaloosa, KS, the youngest of eleven kids. He married Lillian Bell Atkinson in 1948. They lived in Harlingen, TX for over 25 years. They moved back to Missouri in 2015. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2018. He moved to Higginsville in 2019.
Jack was an over the road truck driver, hauling retail goods. He was an Army veteran and a member of the VFW. He enjoyed fishing and going to auctions.
He was preceded in death by sons, Richard and John Miller; daughter, Roberta Rutter.
He is survived by:
Son: Thomas Earl Miller of Ava, IL
Daughter: Mary Ann Lathrom of Lawrence, KS
Numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren
Private graveside services will be held in Shelbyville, MO
