Kenneth Mager, 89, of Higginsville, died November 9th at the Lutheran Good Shepherd Home in Concordia.


He was born December 21, 1927 in Jefferson City, MO to Henry and Bertha (Walther) Mager.
He graduated from Jefferson City High School. He married Elsie Janne on July 27, 1952 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Argonia, KS. They moved to Higginsville in the early 1950’s were he opened and operated Ken’s Garage for 35 years. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2016.
Ken was a Korean War Army veteran and a past member of the Higginsville Rotary Club. He was very active in his church, Immanuel Lutheran, and enjoyed his senior bowling league.
He is also preceded in death by a son, Lyle; a brother, and 3 sisters.

Daughter: Beth Schemmer (Kevin) of Higginsville
3 Grandchildren 
Funeral Services will be held Monday, November 13th at 10:30 am at Immanuel Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Mark Junkin, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
He will be buried in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery
