Velma Kempfe, 96, of Higginsville, formerly of Alma, died January 8, 2019 at the Meyer Care Center.
She was born January 27, 1922 in Alma to Emil and Caroline (Schaefer) Greiw.
She married William Kempfe on October 26, 1941 in Alma. They worked their farm until they retired in 1981, when they moved to Higginsville. He preceded her in death on May 30, 1990.
Velma enjoyed going to the Senior Center almost every day for games and fellowship.
She is survived by:

Grandchildren: Jason Wilsie (Tijauna)

Derrick Griffel (Nicole)

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 10th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alma, at 10:30 am, officiated by Reverend Timothy Mille.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral.
Casket Bearers will be Kevin Griffel, Derrick Griffel, Ryan Griffel, Skyler Wilsie, Douglas Kempfe, Randy Lovercamp.
She will be buried at the Trinity Cemetery.
