Ryland R. Homfeld, 74, of Higginsville, died May 21st at his home.
He was born January 7, 1945, in Higginsville, to Louis and Dora (Bergsieker) Homfeld.
He graduated from Higginsville High School. He raised 17,000 turkeys during his senior year. He owned and operated Ryland R. Homfeld Trucking from his senior year in high school until 2010. 
Ryland was active in the Jaycees and a big supporter of 4H, serving 20 years as a leader.
He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Delores Fricke.

Brother: Walter Homfeld of Oak Grove
Sister: Mary Dickmeier (Hubert) of Corder

Visitation will be held Friday, May 24th from 6-8 pm at the Salem United Church of Christ
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 25th at 10:30 am at the church, officiated by Dr. Tommy Faris
Casket Bearers will be John Schreiman, Troy Johnson, Ben Farral, Craig Homfeld, Caleb Romans, Jerry Green
Honorary Casket Bearers will be Doug Timmenburg, Bruce Bratton, Mark Gross, Jason LaRue, Jimmy John Lipe, John Purdy
He will be buried at the Salem Cemetery
