Bessie Lou Hoeflicker, 82, of Higginsville, died April 16, 2017 at Meyer Care Center.
She was born June 30, 1934 in Lexington, to Otto and Esther (Cowan) Hackley.
She married William “Bill” Hoeflicker on March 14, 1952 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Dover.
Bessie worked as a meat wrapper at the A&P, at P.N. Hirsch, for the Sears catalog, was the co-owner of the shape-up shop, and as a baby sitter for many many kids.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Altar Society, a former 4-H leader and den mother for the Cub Scouts, and a Red Hatter.
Bill preceded her in death on June 6, 2007. She is also preceded by brother, Nolan Hackley; sisters, Lola Seek and Doris Carter.

Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be Tuesday, April 18th at 6:00 pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Visitation will follow the rosary from 6:30-8:00 pm
Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church Wednesday, April 19th at 10:00 am, officiated by Rev. Tom Hawkins
Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Dover
Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Hospice or St. John’s Cemetery
