Beulah Ray Higgins, 88, of Higginsville, Missouri became complete in Christ Jesus on April 25, 2019.
She was born February 28, 1931 in Reeds Spring, Missouri to Joy Roy and Anna Victoria (McCoy) Masingale. Beulah and Leroy Higgins were married on January 25, 1947 in Collins Missouri.
She served the Lord is a member of the First Baptist Church in Higginsville. During her Earthly life she lived in Missouri, Colorado, Texas and Tennessee. She loved caring for children and being a part of their lives. She was known to many as Granny B or Aunt Bea. She taught Sunday school, vacation bible school, and Acteens. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, Cardinals, animals, westerns, car races, baseball, and reading her Bible.
Before retiring, she worked on a dairy farm, co-owned meat processing plant, waited tables at R&S, The Junction, Roadway, Ramada Inn, and was a cashier at Gibson's Discount Center and Hickory Farms, a Care Center cook and served as Food Service supervisor in Missouri as well as Texas.
Beulah is survived by her son, Donald Higgins of Higginsville and her daughter Marilyn Leonard (Ronald) of Hermitage, Tennessee. She is also survived by her brothers, Alvin McCoy of Archie, Missouri , Carol McCoy (Bobby) of Corder, Missouri; sisters, Sylvia Wagner of Branson, Missouri, Violet Wegener (Bill) of Higginsville, Verba Fields (James) of Fairborg, Ohio, Joyce Watson (James) of Terre Haute, Indiana, Patricia Millsap (Harold) of Willis, Texas; sister-in-law's, Luanna McCoy of Hannibal, Missouri, Patricia McCoy of Higginsville, Georgilene McCoy of Corder; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by Leroy Higgins; her parents, Joy Masingale and Anna McCoy; her brothers, Therine McCoy, Robert McCoy, Arnold McCoy, Virgil McCoy, JB Masingale; her sisters, Glenda McCoy, Glenna McCoy, Patricia McCoy, Juanita Faucett, and Barbara Glaze.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 30th at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Higginsville, officiated by Dr. Greg Fine, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
She will be buried at the City Cemetery, and memorials are suggested to the First Baptist Church building fund.
