John D. Dye, Sr., 90, of Higginsville, formerly of Calhoun, Windsor and Lexington, died March 11th, at home.
He was born April 29, 1928 in Knoxville, MO to Ralph L. and Forrestine (Rainwater) Dye, Sr.
He married Julie Hopkins in 1958. They divorced in 1974. John graduated from Orrick High School. He was a farmer and owned several farms around Lexington and Leeton until the 1980’s. He moved to the Windsor area and later to Calhoun. He moved to Higginsville in 2018 to live with his son.
He is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donna, and a brother, Ralph Dye, Jr.

Daughter: Vickie Dye (Marcia) of El Paso, TX
Granddaughter: Johnna Martens (Robert)
3 Great Grandchildren: Steven and Lacey Logsdon and Brayden Schick
Graveside Services will be held Friday, March 15th at 10:00 am at the South Point Cemetery in Orrick, MO, officiated by Chaplain Bill Douglas
