John “Jack” Duvall, 90, of Higginsville, died March 16, 2021 at the Western Missouri Medical Center
He was born July 6, 1930 in Kansas City, MO to Walter and Beulah (Hart) Duvall. He grew up in Higginsville, worked as a soda jerk and graduated from Higginsville High School. He worked a couple of years at the shirt factory in Lexington before enlisting in the Army, where he served for two years. He married Ann Boedeker on November 27, 1954 and they made their home in Kansas City. Jack went to work at the Post Office in 1956, moving up the ranks to a personnel supervisor position. They lived in Independence for a time, then, in 1979 they moved back to Higginsville where Jack became the Postmaster. He retired in 1985.
Jack enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a founding member of the Lafayette Rod and Gun Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a brother, Walter; and 2 great grandchildren, Katelynn and Megan Duvall

Sister: Betty Pollard of Massachusetts

Graveside Services will be held on Monday, March 29th at 1:00 pm at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery
