Vickie Butler, 65, of Higginsville, died December 12, 2020 at her home.
She was born January 13, 1955, in Kansas City, MO to Richard and Lola (Wolf) Butler.
Vickie came to the Marshall Habilitation Center in 1986. She moved out into the Higginsville community with NWCS in 2007. She had lived in her current home since 2008.
She loved her stuffed animals and going shopping. She loved Pepsi and Coke, and going out to eat (McDonalds was her favorite). Halloween and Christmas were her favorite holidays.
She loved having people give her lotion to rub on her arms. To Vickie, it truly was about being a lady, and smelling pretty!
Vickie always wanted to look nice and dress nice. That meant having her nails painted, getting dolled up in make-up, having her hair fixed. She loved her shoes, purses and wearing panty hose.
She enjoyed listening to music and singing along. Vickie was one of a kind who stole the show where ever she was!
The staff that supported Vickie are sad that she is no longer on this earth, but also filled with joy knowing she is up in heaven. She will forever be in our hearts, and bring a smile to our faces when we think of her!
She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Frank.
She is survived by:
Sister: Sherrill Butler of Higginsville
Private services will be held, and she will be buried with her family, at Floral Hills Cemetery in Kansas City.
