Mary R. Brueggenjohann, 89, of Higginsville, died October 3rd at the Meyer Care Center
She was born August 20, 1930 in Higginsville to Arthur and Lena (Scherlinger) Ruffner.
She married Robert Brueggenjohann on April 20, 1952 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Her husband’s military career took them to many places; New York, North Carolina, California and Virginia to name a few. Mary enjoyed the travel and was proud to be a military housewife. They moved back to Higginsville following Bob’s retirement in 1977. After this return to Higginsville, Mary worked for the Jarman Insurance Agency.
Mary was a member of American Legion Post 223 Ladies Auxiliary, the Garden Club and Salem United Church of Christ. She also enjoyed square dancing, reading and word search puzzles.
She
is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert; an infant son
and daughter, Robert Keith and Dawn Marie; brother, Calvin Ruffner.
She is survived by:

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 8th at 11:00 am, at the Kaiser-Wiegers Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Gilbert Walker and Rev. Diana Taylor.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral
She will be buried at the City Cemetery.
