Dudley Bratton, 92, of Higginsville, died May 8th at his home.
He was born July 10, 1926 in Warrensburg, to Roy and Mattie (Matthews) Bratton
Dudley served in the Navy during WWII. After returning home he married Ruth Lamb in January of 1947 (they divorced in 1978). They settled on a farm between Higginsville and Warrensburg. Dudley moved to town around 1961.
Over the years he worked as an insurance agent; he operated a Case/New Idea implement dealer/repair business; and ran a small engine repair business.
He was a member of the VFW and American Legion.
He is preceded in death by his son, Keith Bratton.

Visitation will be Friday, May 17th from 7-8 pm at the Kaiser ~Wiegers Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, May 18th at 10:00 am at the Oak Grove Community Church south of Higginsville, officiated by Rev. Wilbur Conway.
He will be buried at the Oak Grove Community Church Cemetery with military honors.
Memorials are suggested to the Higginsville VFW.
